Video for A Sunday Morning or What the Future Holds

Just came across this wonderful short film that wraps up the history of the planet and what the future holds for humankind in one short and sweet creative package.  It's the perfect Sunday morning thought transfusion.

You are gonna love it.  It's beyond politics and into philosophy and religion.  Happy Sunday everyone

An Educated American or the Ultimate Blonde Joke ?

Here is an educated American who is definitely NOT smarter than a Fifth Grader.  She's an example of our fabulous educational system and our even more fabulous entertainment industry on the TV show that pits stupid adults against smart fifth grade kids. Can she really be this stupid? Or is she being paid to act dumb. If so, she sure is good:-)

Have you ever watched  " Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?" Try it sometime.  It's quite an experience. Watch the video below-- it's short-- and then afterwards while shouting "USA, USA, USA" and screaming " We're number one"  ask yourself, " just what is it that we are number one at?"

Damn, my fellow Americans.  What have we become?  Are we nothing more than the ultimate blonde joke?

Happy Thanksgiving America

AS Zina Saunders says " It's that most American of holidays"  and if Mitch McConnell and Eric Cantor get their wishbone wish, our economy will still be in the toilet next November.

Enjoy your turkey and I hope Zina's video puts a smile on your face.  The least we can do is laugh at our troubles.  HAPPY THANKSGIVING, AMERICA.

Why The 99% Are Pissed Off

Why do the Sunday media pundits keep saying that the Occupy Wall Street movement lacks focus and coherence?  Huh? Fox News called them anarchists. New York  Mayor Bloomberg  just a few days ago called them " bad for the city"   Seems like the powerful 1%  is totally out of touch with the 99% whose voices are growing louder every day and whose demands are very clear indeed.

They have been down there since September 17th and their numbers keep growing. It's not just Wall Street Anymore.  The movement is quickly going global with simultaneous events planned all over the world via social media. These are not just disgruntled students and out of work agitators. They are regular, ordinary people from all walks of life and they are pissed, but in the main peaceful.

Who says they are not organized ?  Check out their live stream if you want a minute to minute update from Wall Street and a taste of the energy of this protest.  Real grass roots movements coalesce and grow organically like this one.  They don't spring full grown from the bowels of  conservative foundations and think tanks like the Tea Party movement did.  This is the stuff that real revolutions are made of.

The video explains it all simply enough so that even a TV talking head can understand. Watch the video. Watch the whole thing and pass it along.OK? Take it viral and tell the world.  Oh and  a big round of applause for DC Douglas  .

Goldman Sachs Rules the World

That's the gospel according to a venal but honest Wall Street  trader named, Alessio Rastani . Check out what he has to say on the video below.   His comment to the BBC  on the subject of the Eurozone bail out was breathtaking, or as the interviewer said, "jaw-dropping."

The interviewer asked him if he thought that  financial disaster could be averted and he said " I don't care. It doesn't matter."  Huh? Can you believe it?  He doesn't care because all those people living in their cars and children going hungry don't matter because hard times are just a wonderful financial opportunity for him and his ilk.  He's been hoping for another depression because there were people who made fortunes during the last one. He said that. He really did. I thought the BBC lady was going to choke.  He went on to observe " Governments don't run the world. Goldman Sachs runs the world"

Maybe Goldman Sachs runs his world, but it doesn't run mine.  And I bet someone from Goldman Sachs will be in touch with him soon  for spilling the beans on TV .  I hope they at least have the good grace to be embarrassed.

Talk about being out of touch.  Talk about having no moral compass.  This guy makes Marie Antoinette look like a bleeding heart liberal. Watch the video. Your jaw will drop too.  If it weren't so shocking it would be funny.  Is this what we have come to as a nation?

Shame on us!!!

Negotiating the Debt Ceiling- Looney Tunes Style

The Looney Tunes American Congress is still at it, but they say compromise is coming.  I sure hope so because I don't know about you, but I am sick of this debt ceiling thing.

Here's a Sunday video to make you smile, in spite of the fact that the world is going to hell in a handcart. Enjoy the day and live in the moment.  It's all we have

Michelle Bachmann as Mrs Potato Head

OK I know this is a cheap shot but really, Michelle Bachmann  and Sarah Palin just beg to be made fun of.  We are not talking serious candidates here, but we are talking comic relief. So here is just one more  video editorial by the ever creative  Zina Saunders  on Bachmann and the count-down to Iowa.

It's things like Michelle Bachmann and Anthony Weiner's weiner that keep us all laughing and not thinking about  oh let's see, possible bankruptcy in Greece,  horrendous  bloodshed in the Middle East, and what will happen if the Congress can't reach some kind of compromise on raising the national debt ceiling.

Oh dear, let's get back to Mrs Potato Head and a few laughs.

Digital Maps: Visual Images of Virtual Worlds

Digital maps have expanded the world and even the universe into something new and wonderful. Yet that something is built on the art of the old and encompasses uncharted areas old time map makers could not have imagined.

Let this BBC video explain it all to you.  The past is amazing. The present energizing and the future beyond imagining.  Behold the brave new world of digital map technology.

A tip of my virtual chapeau to rjj who sent me this video on Stumbleupon
