Sunday Quote: Ben Franklin on Democracy

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote."

Ol' Ben, having spent many years in England, must've been thinking of its version of liberty. Two groups of "well-armed lambs" just sent packing the party in power and forced the formation of the first coalition government in decades. What a different country America would be if the Founding Fathers had chosen the parliamentary system of government for us too.
