Tell me the part again about how requiring stricter background checks, re-instituting the assault weapons ban, and making at least some effort to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill is a violation of the second amendment to the Constitution of the United States. I just don't get it-- especially when I watch videos like the one below.
It would be funny if it weren't so shocking. Guns DO kill people, especially in the hands of people who don't know how to handle them. You really need to watch this video, share it around and think about it. Then think about all those dead little kids in Connecticut and the dead and injured from Columbine to Aurora, Colorado, to Virginia Tech and beyond and tell me you still think that stricter gun laws are not needed in this country.
